Welcome to the TECH Bar Documentation! Here you can find a number of great tech tips and resources that are at your fingertips day and night. You’ll notice that the left side of the page has seven buttons with the most common areas of TECH support. By clicking on those, you can find pages broken down into specific categories like Video or Excel and a list of all of the resources related to those categories.
Each post has a PDF or a list of external links with resources, step-by-step guides and online tutorials of how to do anything from printing from your own computer on campus to making a chart or table in Microsoft Excel 2007.
There is also a space for comments on every specific post so that you can let us know how the tips worked, if there were any problems or if you couldn’t find something you were looking for. We would love to hear your feedback! If you have a specific question about your computer, or you are having problems with one of our systems, contact the Help Desk (610-526-7440, help@brynmawr.edu). Comments left on this blog provide us with extremely valuable feedback, but are not the most expedient way to request Help Desk assistance.
More about the TECH Bar: The TECH Bar educates students, faculty and staff in both existing and emerging technologies. “Technologies” widely includes instructional design, research and academic tools, and productivity and multimedia software. Based in Canaday, it provides education and consultation referrals in-person and as-needed by professional staff and students. TECH Bar staff also facilitate supported work time. Our approach is to empower community members to become active and knowledgeable learners of new technologies by providing collaborative and dialogic learning opportunities, skilled advice and consultation, and self-directed, self-paced learning resources.
