Using Gmail Chat for Online Meetings

Can't find a meeting time that works for everyone?  Want to meet with friends, colleagues and classmates with a simple, easy-to-use group chat tool? Though the College's Communication Center (Zimbra) has a chat feature, it does not yet accommodate group chats.  In the meantime, Gmail Chat works well for this - try these steps to set it up and see for yourself! User Roles for Blogs

Users can be added by blog administrators- the creator of a blog is the administrator, and she can designate other users she adds to be administrators as well. Users are added by going to the "Users" link in the top right corner- a user must already have signed in to blogs.brynmawr.edu before they can be added to a blog.  Once added, they receive an email with an activation link. Logging in & Creating a New Blog

There are different ways to access and post to a blog, depending on whether you are creating a new blog or joining an existing one. If you are creating a new blog: Log-in: If you have a Bryn Mawr College email address, logging in is easy.  Just enter your email username & password. Quick Tips: Accessing Email through a Client (via IMAP)

Here are some quick tips for you to be able to view your email on the same server through other clients, such as Outlook 2007, Apple Mail, etc. Individuals setting up mail sync on a Mobile Device should use these instructions.  Individuals using a Blackberry or other unsupported mobile device may use the instructions below for "other clients".
