Over the summer, public printing has changed. Below, you can find a document with step-by-step instructions on how to print to public printers from your personal computer.
Please note that if you installed printers on your laptop previous to August 2009, you will need to reinstall them following these instructions.

During the first week of classes, I worked with one of the TECH Bar people to set up all Bryn Mawr printers on my computer. It was working great the first 2 weeks. But last week and this week, whenever I would try to print from my laptop to any of the printers I had previously installed, I got the following response: “The document could not be printed.”
So I decided to uninstall one of the printers in order to reinstall it. However, now when I follow the directions for installing printers for Vista users provided on this website , I am NOT prompted by a dialog box telling me that the server will automatically install a print driver, and asking if you would like to continue.
Instead, I am prompted by a dialog box “Connecting to public-printing.brynmawr.edu” and I have to enter a user name and password. I tried both rgoykhman and bmc.rgoykhman versions as my username and typed in my password. Both get the same result: “Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (erro 0×0000052e).
PLEASE HELP!
